AACB's Executive Secretariat

"Secretariat" means the location of the administrative office of the Executive Secretary as determined by the Assembly of Governors. (Article 1 , Paragraph 2, Ident xi of the AACB Statutes )

The AACB Secretariat provides secretariat services ( Article 5, Paragraph 8 of the AACB Statutes ) for the meetings of the Association and performs any other duties the Assembly of Governors may assign to it.

Paragraph 8 of Article 5 of the AACB Statutes
The Secretariat shall provide the secretariat for the meetings of the Association and perform any other duties the Assembly of Governors may assign to it. The functions and organization of the Secretariat shall be specified in a separate document as approved by the Assembly of Governors.

Location of the Secretariat
Le Secrétariat de l’Association est situé en un lieu determiné par le Conseil des Gouverneurs. Il peut être transféré, le cas échéant, en tout autre lieu par une résolution du Conseil des Gouverneurs. (Article 1, alinéa 3 des Statuts).

Comme proposé par le Conseil des Gouverneurs lors de sa 25ème réunion ordinaire qui s’est tenue le 16 août 2001 à Johannesburg, en Afrique du Sud, le Secrétariat de l’ABCA est hébergé par la Banque Centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO), dans les locaux de son Siège à Dakar au Sénégal.
