The African Financial Alliance on Climate Change (AFAC) in partnership with the Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA) and United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is pleased to invite you to an information session on climate risks for Africa’s financial sector.

The continental seminar of the year, hosted virtually by the Banque Centrale de la République de Guinée, on the theme "Leveraging Technology to Promote Investment in the Pan-African Banking Sector in Advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA): The Role of Central Banks" was held from 16 to 18 May 2022.

The seminar on Pillar II and III Aspects of Basel Framework will be hosted virtually by the Central Bank of Egypt from 6 to 8 December 2021.

The first continental seminar of the year, hosted by the National Bank of Rwanda, on the theme «Remittances, Fluctuations of Exchange Rates and Management of Foreign Reserves: Financing Opportunities for Africa and Implications for African Central Banks» was held from 31 May to 2 June 2021.

A webinar on the theme « Monetary Policy Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic », co-organized by the AACB and the European Central Bank (ECB), was held on 29 September 2020.

The second Continental Seminar, hosted by Central Bank of Egypt, on the theme « High Level of Non Performing Loans in Africa: Determinants and Implications for Financial Stability and the Real Economy in the Region », was held on 28-30 June 2021.
