The 2017 Continental Seminar of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) was held on 3 - 5 May 2017 in Accra, Ghana, on the theme "Credible Communication Strategies for Central Banks in the Framework of Monetary Policy and Financial Stability". Sixty (60) delegates from twenty-five (25) member central banks and four (4) regional and international institutions attended the seminar.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Dr. Johnson P. Asiama, Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana, in the presence of Dr. Natalia A. Koliadina, IMF Resident Representative.
The Community of African Bank Supervisors (CABS) held a seminar on 16 - 20 January, 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria on the theme "Crisis Management and Bank Resolution". This seminar has been designed to cover two important aspects of crisis management and bank resolution. The first part relates to prevention of a potential crisis happening by making the banks more resilient. The second part relates to the actual crisis management and bank resolution.
The 2016 continental seminar of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) was held on 9 - 11 May, 2016 in Cairo, Egypt, on the theme "Financial stability: New Challenges for Central Banks". Sixty delegates from nineteen member Central Banks and five regional institutions attended the seminar.
The 2015 AACB Continental Seminar was held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 13 to 15 May 2015, on the theme “Monetary Policy Frameworks in Africa in a Changing Financial Landscape”. Fifty-five (55) participants from twenty-three (23) member central banks and eight (8) regional and international institutions attended the Seminar.
