The Symposium on ‘Monetary Integration Prospects in Africa: Lessons from the Experience of the European Monetary and Financial Integration’ was held on 15 August 2017 in Pretoria, South Africa, at the Conference Center of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

The Symposium was officially opened by Dr. The Honourable Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius.
